Robert F. Barkowski (born March 29, 1963 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish-German writer, author of historical books (novels, non-fiction books, monographs, essays).

Career

He spent his childhood and youth in Gdansk , where he graduated from high school in 1982. He has lived in Berlin since the late 1980s . He first studied power engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and technical informatics at the Berlin University of Technology and Economics .

As a programmer, he was in charge of Parthas Verlag , Stroemfeld Verlag , Deutsche Kunstverlag , form + Zweck and Vice Versa Verlag from 2001 . Today he works primarily as an author, translator, editor and editor. Barkowski tries to get the writings of Polish authors to Germany. In Poland his works are published by the Warsaw publishing house Bellona.
