Robert Ferguson (blues musician)

Robert "H-Bomb" Ferguson (born May 9, 1929 in Charleston , South Carolina , † November 26, 2006 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) was an American blues singer and pianist. He was known for his extravagant appearance with a colorful wig. His role model was "Mister Blues" Wynonie Harris .

At 19, Ferguson, whose father had financed him piano lessons, was hanging out with Joe Liggins and his honeydrippers. In New York he appeared as "the Cobra Kid" and had his first record hits in the early 1950s.

Finally Ferguson ended up in Cincinnati, where he lived and made music from now on. It wasn't until 1986 that Ferguson's first album, Life Is Hard, was released . Until his death in 2006 he performed at popular blues and R&B festivals.
