Robert Fleming (banker)
Robert Fleming (* 1845 in Dundee , † 1933 ) was a Scottish banker and patron.
Fleming founded the commercial bank Robert Fleming & Co and was a respected banker in both England and the United States.
The Fleming Collection is named after Fleming, and he also made some generous donations to his hometown.
He was the father of House of Commons Valentine Fleming and, through him, the grandfather of writers Peter Fleming and Ian Fleming .
