Robert Gemmel

Robert Gemmel (born December 7, 1947 in Putlitz ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After finishing school, Gemmel trained as an industrial blacksmith from 1966 to 1970 . Between 1970 and 1990 he worked as a materials tester . In 1990 he became chairman of the works council of the Pritzwalk gear factory. From 1994 to 1999 he was managing director of Arbeitsförderungsgesellschaft Pritzwalk mbH, and in 1997 and 1998 he was also managing director of Kartoffel- & Gemüseveredlung Prignitzland GmbH. In 2000 he became chairman of the Prignitzland e. V. Gemmel is married and has two children.

politics

Gemmel was a member of the Pritzwalk district council from 1990 to 1993 , then of the Prignitz district council until 1994 . In the 1994 state elections , Gemmel in constituency 2 (Prignitz II) was elected to the Brandenburg state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD . In the 1999 election he was able to repeat his success and moved into the state parliament once more. In the state elections in 2004, he lost to the PDS candidate Wolfgang Gehrcke-Reymann . Gemmel was a member of parliament from October 11, 1994 to October 13, 2004. In the state parliament he was a member of the committee for the environment, nature conservation and regional planning (from 1999 agriculture, environmental protection and regional planning); He was a member of the Committee for Economics, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Technology until 1999; Gemmel was then a deputy member of the Committee for Economics from 1999 to 2003.
