Robert Hauvespre

Robert Hauvespre (born December 25, 1923 in Liffré , † November 30, 1997 ) was a French football player .

Career

Hauvrespre grew up in his birthplace Liffré and began his career as a teenager at the US Liffré association located there . In the spring of 1940, the then 16-year-old, who had not been drafted when the Second World War broke out because of his young age , moved to the Stade Rennes ; with the former first division team, he entered a regional amateur league. In the same year he returned to Liffré.

In 1945 the now 21-year-old footballer moved to Rennes for the second time, which was now in the top French league. As a left winger, he made his debut on September 23, 1945 in a 1-0 win against Red Star Paris in the first class and then became a regular player. In 1950 he turned his back on the club after five years with 97 first division games and six goals, but without a national title; he continued his career as an amateur player for the US Boulogne .
