Robert "Rob" Heidger (born June 3, 1969 in Danville (California) , USA ) is a former American beach volleyball player .

Career

Robert Heidger began playing beach volleyball in 1989. He has played on the US AVP Tour since 1992 and internationally on the FIVB World Tour since 1995 . At the side of Kevin Wong he took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the gold medalists Blanton / Fonoimoana . Heidger took part in three world championships ( 1997 with Michael Dodd , 1999 with Kevin Wong and 2001 with Christian McCaw ). In September 2001 Rob Heidger ended his career at the side of Eric Fonoimoana with a fourth place at the Goodwill Games in Brisbane .
