Robert Herzog (politician)

Robert Herzog (born April 11, 1894 in Reichenberg , † April 14, 1976 in Reutlingen ) was a German politician ( GB / BHE ).

Life and work

After training as a teacher, Herzog worked as a secondary school teacher, most recently as principal school principal. He came from the Bohemian Reichenberg and came to Reutlingen as a displaced person after the Second World War .

politics

Herzog was involved in the GB / BHE displaced party, for which he entered the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the first time in 1956 . In the state parliament he devoted himself above all to school policy. Through the merger of the GB / BHE with the German party , he became a member of the merged All- German Party in 1961 , for which he remained a member of the state parliament until 1964. In 1959, the Landtag elected Herzog as a member of the Federal Assembly , which elected Heinrich Lübke as Federal President .
