Robert Ilatov

Robert Ilatov (also Robert Ilatow ; Hebrew רוברט אילטוב; Born November 12, 1971 in Andijon , Uzbek SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Israeli politician who is currently a member of the Knesset for the nationalist party Yisra'el Beitenu .

Life

Ilatov is the child of Bukharian Jews and performed the aliyah to Israel on April 10, 1985. Between 2000 and 2006 he worked in public relations for the Laniado Hospital in Netanya .

In the 2006 general election , he was placed sixth for Jisra'el Beitenu and moved to the Knesset after his party won eleven seats. During his first term in office, he served as chairman of the Beitenu faction. After the parliamentary elections in 2009 , in which he was listed in eleventh place, he was able to keep his seat. Together with other members of parliament, he presented a 16-point draft law that formed the basis for the nation-state law passed in 2018 .

Ilatov currently lives in Netanya, where he used to be the deputy mayor, is married and has two children.
