Robert Ingenhoven

Robert Ingenhoven (born January 8, 1934 in Düsseldorf ; † March 29, 2005 ) was a German architect.

Life

Ingenhoven, son of a Düsseldorf merchant family, completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter after leaving school. He got a job in an architecture office and completed an architectural training at the same time.

He was u. a. From 1970 he worked independently in Neuss and designed numerous buildings there and in other cities in the Rhineland. Ingenhoven has received numerous awards, including his wooden house built around 1975 on Dietrichstrasse in the Gnadental district with the German Timber Construction Prize .

He left a wife and four children together. One of his sons is the architect Christoph Ingenhoven . His youngest son, with whom Robert Ingenhoven ran the Ingenhoven & Ingenhoven office on Breiten Straße , is also an architect.
