Robert J. Yanosey

Robert J. Yanosey (born April 30, 1946 ) is an American author and writer of railroad books .

Robert J. Yanosey worked from 1968 on the Erie Lackawanna Railroad as an agent operator. In 1973 he moved to the New Jersey Department of Transportation . From 1974 to 1976 he worked for various railway companies in the New Jersey area. In 1976 he became regional manager at the newly founded Conrail . In 1978 he returned to the Ministry of Transportation and was Chief Bureau of Rail Operations and, from 1980 to 1982, Director of Rail Transportation at NJ Transit . The proceeds from the sale of shares in Lehigh Valley Railroad to Penn Central in 1983 enabled him to set up Morning Sun Books in 1986.
