Robert Kempter (born March 22, 1988 ) is a German soccer referee of the 2nd Bundesliga . He is the youngest referee to have appeared in this division. His hometown club is VfR Sauldorf.
Athletic career
Robert Kempter grew up in Krumbach, a suburb of the Sauldorf community . On August 18, 2006, he led his first game in the Baden-Württemberg football league . This was followed by a game in the Regionalliga Süd on August 11, 2007 and on August 23, 2008 with the encounter between VfR Aalen and Rot-Weiß Erfurt, a game in the 3rd soccer league .
On September 12, 2008, at the age of just 20, he was in charge of the second division game Alemannia Aachen against FC Ingolstadt 04 . He was thus the youngest German referee in this league and at the same time replaced his older brother Michael Kempter (* 1983), who had held this record since September 24, 2004.
He is a tool mechanic by profession and lives in Sauldorf.
