Robert MacNeil
Robert Breckinridge Ware MacNeil (born January 19, 1931 in Montreal ) is a Canadian - American journalist , author and television presenter .
Life
MacNeil graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa . After completing his studies, he worked as a journalist in the news sector of the television station ITV in London and then moved to Reuters and later to NBC News as a correspondent in Washington, DC and New York City . He wrote several books as an author. From 1975 to 1995, MacNeil co- hosted the television programs The Robert MacNeil Report / The MacNeil / Lehrer Report / The MacNeil / Lehrer Newshour with Jim Lehrer .
