Robert Raußendorf

Robert Raußendorf (* 1973 ) is a German physicist who deals with quantum information theory.

Raußendorf received his doctorate in 2003 from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . As a post-doctoral student , he was at Caltech , the Perimeter Institute (2006 to 2007) and 2009 to 2011 Sloan Research Fellow from 2003 to 2006 . He then became an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia . He is in the Cifar Quantum Information Program.

In 2001 he had with Hans J. Briegel a new model of a one-way or measurement-based quantum computer (English: one-way quantum computer or measurement-based quantum computer ) before. That was also the subject of Raußendorf's dissertation in Munich.

Most recently he has been working on topological quantum computers.
