Robert Sagawe (born August 11, 1876 in Langseifersdorf , Reichenbach district (Eulengebirge) , † December 2, 1943 ) was a German politician ( ZENTRUM ).

Live and act

After attending primary school in Nieder-Langseifersdorf, Sagawe worked in the construction industry and as a miner. From 1897 to 1899 Sagawe belonged to the 22nd Company of the 2nd Guards Regiment on foot in Berlin. From 1900 to 1905 he attended various social courses, and he continued his education through intensive self-study.

Since 1906 Sagawe was an employee of the Association of Catholic Workers' Associations in Berlin. In July 1908 he got a job as a secretary in the Poznan District. There he took over the management of the secretariat (legal information center, proof of work) in Lissa. In 1915 he became an assessor in the insurance office and a shop steward for the salaried employees' insurance, and in 1916 he became an employee of the supply department of the deputy directorate of the VUK

In January 1919 Sagawe was elected as a member of the Catholic German Center Party in the Weimar National Assembly, which he belonged to as a representative of constituency 8 (Posen) until the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic met in June 1920.
