Robert Seifert (District Administrator)

Robert Seifert (born June 7, 1891 in Hilders , † April 9, 1963 in Gammertingen ) was a German politician of the Center Party .

Life

Robert Seifert was born on June 7, 1891 in Hilders, Fulda district. On December 5, 1924, he was given the provisional management of the Sigmaringen Oberamt . With the formation of the Sigmaringen district on October 9, 1925, Robert Seifert, who had a doctorate, was appointed district administrator of the Sigmaringen district in the Prussian province of Hohenzollerische Lande . As such, he worked until November 30, 1945. In 1946 he was appointed to the regional administration for the interior of the state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern in Tübingen. From January 9, 1950 to May 14, 1952, he was employed at the Ministry of the Interior in Württemberg-Hohenzollern as chairman of the second complaints committee at the State Office for Emergency Aid in Tübingen. From May 15, 1952 until his retirement on November 30, 1955, Seifert worked in various departments at the district government in Aachen. He died on April 9, 1963 in what was then the district retirement home in Gammertingen .

His son is Ansgar Seifert, former ministerial director of the Ministry of Culture in the state of Baden-Württemberg .

Since 1912 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Rheno-Franconia Munich .

Honors

In Gammertingen, a street was named after District Administrator Robert Seifert, Robert-Seifert-Strasse. A memorial was also set up for him.
