Robert Stollé
Robert Stollé (born July 17, 1869 in Cologne-Mülheim ; † August 9, 1938 ) was a German chemist and university professor.
Robert Stollé studied chemistry at the universities in Geneva, Berlin and Bonn. It was 1898 in Bonn with a thesis As to the effect of Natriumacetessigester on Benzalmalonsäureester doctorate and his habilitation in 1903 in Heidelberg with a thesis on hydrazine . He taught at Heidelberg University from 1899 to 1935. The indole synthesis he discovered bears his name as the Stollé synthesis .
