Robert Zingen

Robert Zingen (born May 4, 1928 in Ehrang ; † December 10, 2005 in Trier ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Zingen attended the Ehrang elementary school from 1934 to 1942 and then did an apprenticeship as a locksmith at the Trier Federal Railroad Repair Works, which he finished in 1944 with the journeyman's examination. In 1945 he did Reich Labor Service and became a prisoner of war . From 1945 he worked again for the Federal Railway, attended the railway technical school and in 1951 passed the foreman examination at the Federal Railway. He worked as a technical operations inspector at the Trier Federal Railroad Repair Works, where he was chairman of the staff council from 1962 to 1979.

In 1966 he became a member of the CDU and was deputy chairman of the CDU district association Trier-Stadt in the party from 1969 to 1975. In terms of local politics, he was a member of the Trier City Council from 1969 to 1989 and CDU parliamentary group leader from 1975 to 1988. He was a member of the Trier district board of the CDA.

From June 1, 1970 to May 17, 1971, from March 18, 1974 to May 19, 1975 and from May 21, 1975 to June 2, 1987, he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In 1984 he was a member of the 8th Federal Assembly .
