Roberto Andò

Roberto Andò (born January 11, 1959 in Palermo ) is an Italian theater and film director .

Life

Andò has been a sought-after stage director since the early 1980s, who also stages his own plays. In this role he worked for numerous stages, such as the Teatro Biondo and the Teatro Massimo in Palermo or the Piccolo Teatro di Milano . He initially worked for the big screen - as early as 1986 - as an assistant director before making his first feature-length film on video in 1994, which was presented at the Venice Festival . Andò staged the following two works without concessions to expectations and habits. Also two short films, For Webern and Il ritratto di Harold Pinter . Further feature films followed in 2004 and 2006.

Andò is the artistic director of the Museo Internazionale delle Marionette e delle Orestiade in Gibellina . He was also a film critic for Il Globo and a reporter .
