Roberto Beracochea

Roberto Beracochea (born December 9, 1909 in Gualeguay / Entre Ríos , † December 11, 1988 ibid) was an Argentine writer.

Beracochea studied law at the University of Cordoba and became President of the Bar Association and Forensic Association of the Entre Ríos Province. With Carlos Alberto Álvarez and José Eduardo Seri he took part as a delegate of the Entre Ríos Province at the First National Congress of the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores and the Directores de Cultura . In the province of Entre Ríos he founded and directed a. a. the Federacion de Asociaciones Culturales de Entre Ríos (FACER).

He worked for various newspapers and magazines in his home region, directed a cultural broadcast on the radio and gave hundreds of lectures on topics from the fields of literature, music, history and law. Politically, he was active in the Partido Demócrata Progresista , for which he ran in 1956 as governor of the province of Entre Ríos.

As a writer, Beracochea et al. a. several novels, two plays, a travelogue and a volume of short stories that have not been published, poems and several essays.
