FKÜ. (Abbreviation for Freddy Krueger's Ünderwear ) is a Swedish thrash metal band from Uppsala , which was founded in 1987.

history

The band was formed in 1987. After the members had played together a few times, the band initially fell apart again until singer Lawrence Mackrory joined them. Together they revived the project and recorded a demo called Beware of the Evil Ünderwear , which consisted of 20 songs and was recorded in 1998. In 1999, the band went for nine days under the direction of Daniel Berg beach in the Dugout Studios . Together they recorded the album Metal Moshing Mad and released it through Head Mechanic Records, the label of Patrik Sporrong. After that, they played a few concerts and appeared at festivals such as the Dist and 2000 Decibel. The band played with other groups such as The Haunted , Entombed and Meshuggah .

In 2004 they recorded new material and released the album Sometimes They Come Back ... To Mosh on Head Mechanic Records. This was followed by a tour of the USA with Ghoul and Engorged , as well as a tour of Italy with Hyades .

In the summer of 2009 the band released the album Where Moshers Dwell . The album was recorded in the Blueflame Productions studio by drummer Teddy Möller and published in Great Scot! Audio Studio mixed by singer Lawrence Mackrory. This was followed by concerts in Sweden and appearances at various festivals.

style

The band often treats characters from horror films lyrically. She plays classic Thrash Metal and has been compared to groups like Dirty Rotten Imbeciles , Stormtroopers of Death , Overkill , Agent Steel , Nuclear Assault and Exodus .
