Roberto García González

Roberto García González (born November 8, 1971 in Churintzio / Michoacán ) is a Mexican philosopher and Roman Catholic priest. He completed studies to graduation at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and graduated at the Leopold-Franzens University Innsbruck .

School education and study

García González attended the Colegio Crisanto Vélez elementary school (1977-1983) and then the Pdte high school. Adolfo López Mateos (1983–1986) in Churintzio / Michoacán. He graduated from the Universidad Don Vasco in Uruapan in 1989 and studied philosophy from 1989 to 1992 and then theology at the Seminario de Zamora in Jacona / Michoacán until 1996 .

Academic and spiritual work

He became a lecturer on March 10, 1995, and an acolyte in Zamora on September 23, 1995. He was ordained a deacon on May 25, 1996 and ordained a priest on January 11, 1997 (also in Zamora).

He obtained a Masters in Philosophy degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1998). His diploma thesis was entitled La "analogia entis" como núcleo estructurante del pensamiento metafísico de Hans Urs von Balthasar with Erasmo Bautista Lucas .

García González was professor of philosophy and librarian at the seminary of the diocese of Zamora from 1998 to 2006, also chaplain of the order of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit (2003-2006) and also worked in the parish of St. Felipe de Jesus in Sahuavo (1999-2005).

From 2007 to 2010 he was a member of the editorial team of the magazine Korrespondenzblatt des Canisianum in Innsbruck and coordinator for the academic year 2010–2011 at the Collegium Canisianum . In 2012 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the Leopold-Franzens University Innsbruck . His dissertation was entitled Communicative Interaction of Human Consciousness. Dialogic contribution to the ›soft‹, naturalistic, universal pragmatic interpretation of consciousness based on the post-metaphysical approach of Jürgen Habermas in Christian Kanzian .

He then took over a professorship for contemporary philosophy at the seminary of the diocese of Zamora from 2012–2013 and was spiritual guide for the students at the Universidad Don Vasco in Uruapan (2013–2014). At the same time he was pastor of the parish of San Pablo Apóstol in Uruapan (2012-2015).
