Robertus Anglicus
Robertus Anglicus was a 13th century English astronomer . He taught at the University of Montpellier and possibly also in Paris.
He is known to us as the author of a commentary on De Sphaera by John de Sacrobosco that appeared in 1271 . It contains a remark about the state of development of watch technology at that time .
His work "Sophistria" is available in a translation into French: étude et édition critique par Anne Grondeux et Irène Rosier-Catach, Paris 2006.
