Robin Haeyoun Cheong (born December 16, 1988 in South Korea ) is a New Zealand Taekwondoin of South Korean descent, who starts in the weight class up to 57 kilograms.

Cheong trains under national coach Jin Keun-oh at the performance center in Browns Bay , but also uses the opportunity to prepare in her home country before important competitions. She has participated in continental competitions since 2006. Cheong managed to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . There she reached the quarter-finals, but then dropped out against the later Olympic champion Lim Su-jeong and finished seventh in the final ranking after another defeat in the round of hope. In mid-2011, Cheong was able to qualify for their second Olympic Games in London in 2012 with a win at the Oceanic Olympic qualification tournament in Nouméa . In the decisive final fight she was already well behind, but then benefited from a punishment and the disqualification of her opponent.
