Robin hobb
Robin Hobb , actually Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden , (born March 5, 1952 in Berkeley , California ) is an American writer . She wrote her first works under the name Megan Lindholm . She mainly writes fantasy books, but has also written a science fiction novel with the novel Alien Earth . In Germany she was best known for the far-sighted cycle .
Life
At the age of nine, Hobb moved her family to Fairbanks, Alaska. After graduating from high school and attending Denver University for a year, she married at the age of 18. She moved with her husband to Kodiak, a small island on the Alaskan coast. In the same year she published her first short story and started her career writing a few short stories for a children's magazine.
Since 1971 she has been writing contemporary fantasy stories under the pseudonym Megan Lindholm . In 1995 she began writing epic fantasy stories by the name Robin Hobb, another pseudonym.
She has four children and lives in Tacoma in the US state of Washington .

The Realm of the Elderlings
With the exception of one cycle, all of Robin Hobb's books are set in the same fictional world . These works are grouped in English as "The Realm of the Elderlings". A corresponding grouping does not exist in the German publications. One possible translation would be "The Empire of the Ancients".
