Robin Mishra

Robin Mishra (* 1969 ) is a German journalist, lawyer, author and diplomat.

Life

From 1988 he studied law in Münster and Paris ( first state examination in 1994) and received his doctorate in 1997 . After the second state examination in 1998, he initially worked as assistant to the chairman of the board at Bertelsmann AG / CLT-UFA in Luxembourg. In 2000 he moved to the WDR in Düsseldorf, where he worked in the editorial department for state politics television (TV political magazine “ Westpol ”).

In 2001 he became parliamentary correspondent for Rheinischer Merkurs and in 2006 head of the capital city office. Since 2010 he has worked as press spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Research for the ministers Annette Schavan and Johanna Wanka . In September 2015, Mishra moved to the Federal Foreign Office and took over the management of the science department at the German Embassy in Washington.
