Robin de Raaff (* 1968 in Breda ) is a Dutch composer .

Robin de Raaff was born in Breda, the Netherlands, in 1968. First he studied composition with Geert van Keulen and Theo Loevendie at the Conservatory of Music in Amsterdam , where he graduated in 1997 with distinction. In 1999 he accepted an invitation from George Benjamin as his only composition student at the Royal College of Music in London. There he also studied with Julian Anderson . In 2000 Robin de Raaff was a Senior Fellow at Tanglewood Music Center . The following year, at the Festival of Contemporary Music there, the piano concerto commissioned by the Tanglewood Music Center was premiered. Robin de Raaff has been teaching composition and instrumentation at the Music Conservatory in Rotterdam since 2001 .
