The Rocas Yamana ( Spanish ) are a group of cliff rocks in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located directly in front of Playa Yamana and around 180 m northwest of the Punta El Hallazgo headland in front of the western side of Cape Shirreff on Livingston Island .
Scientists of the 40th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1985–1986) named it after the name of the neighboring beach. This, in turn, is so named because the scientists found a human skull of the Yámana at Punta El Hallazgo .
