André Karch

André Karch (* 1984 ) is a German university professor , physician and epidemiologist .

Karch studied medicine between 2003 and 2010 at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and the Technical and Natural Sciences University of Norway Trondheim. In 2010 and 2011 he studied epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine . In 2012 he received his doctorate at the Julius-Maximilians University and the National Reference Center for meningococcal to Dr. med. From 2011 to 2013 he was an assistant doctor and research assistant at the Clinic for Neurology and the National Reference Center for Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . Then until 2018 he was a research assistant in the epidemiology department at the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research in Braunschweig . Since 2018 he has held the chair for clinical epidemiology at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster .
