Rocco Cesareo

Rocco Cesareo (born October 18, 1955 in Genoa ) is an Italian theater and film director .

Life

Cesareo was initially interested in theater directing, in which he also graduated, and worked at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano ; but he also studied film directing at the Scuola di Cinema in Milan . Since 1980, from 1989 in Rome, he has staged numerous classics for the stage: Samuel Beckett's Endgame , Chekhov's Wedding or Harold Pinter's The Dumb Servant . In 1993, 1998 and 2003 he directed three films for the big screen, which - with the exception of the last one - received little dissemination and attention. He had already produced a film in 1991, which he repeated in 2001 with Proibito baciare .

In 2003 he received a special mention from the ANEC (Associazione Nazionale esercenti Cinema) for his third film
