Rocher des Fées (Cieux)
The Abri von Rocher des Fées (also called Grotte du Rocher des Fées ) is located between the hamlets of Fromental and Villeforceix in the “Bois du Rat” in the Monts de Blond in Cieux near Bellac in the north of the Haute-Vienne department in France .
The Abri is located between large, irregular erosion-formed blocks of outcrop and consists of one large block resting on smaller ones. Excavations have shown that the Abri had a long prehistoric period of use. The collected finds and the structures prove a use from the last Magdalenian to the Bronze Age (10,000 to 1,800 BC), most recently as a necropolis .
