Rock Around The Jukebox

Rock Around The Jukebox is a two-day event that has been held annually at the Autotron in Rosmalen since 1988 . The theme of the event is the music and lifestyle of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. It is the largest event of its kind in Europe, with an average of 20,000 visitors.

history

Frits Aalders (* 1939), who since 1982 jukeboxes collected and ran a repair service and trade in subsequent years, was a magazine called 1983 De Jukebox fanaat out. This resulted in a wholesaler of the same name, with jukeboxes, accessories and spare parts production. De Jukebox Fanaat has been organizing the two-day lifestyle event Rock around the Jukebox since 1988 . In 2006 his son Ernst Aalders took over the company and the organization of the events.

Offer more than 300 exhibitors, hundreds of jukeboxes, records, slot machines , pinball , slot machines on, fashion, advertising signs and more from the 1950s to 1970s.

The ongoing events feature live music, fashion shows, vintage hair and makeup, rock and roll dance performances, and go-go dancers. Classic cars from the 1950s to 1970s are shown on the open-air site. On the gallery of the hall there is a flea market where vinyl records, fashion and accessories from different eras can be purchased. As the official European representative, Rock-Ola- Germany, which is based in Berlin, regularly takes part in the event.
