The Rockefeller Plateau is a 1000 and interlocutory 1500 m high-lying plateau in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It is east of the Shirase and Siple coasts and south of the Ford Ranges , the Flood Range and the Executive Committee Range .
The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd discovered them in 1934 during his second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935). He named it after John D. Rockefeller, Jr. (1874–1960), the most important donor of his research trips.
