Rocket Knight Adventures is a jump 'n' run game released in 1993 by the Sega company for the Sega Mega Drive . The game was developed by Konami .
Setting
A vicious army of pigs, supported by the antagonist Axle Gear , invades the land of Zebulus and kidnaps the princess of the kingdom. Sparkster sets out to drive away the invaders and save the princess. His journey takes him to the industrial capital of pigs and finally into space and the Death Star- like space station Pig Star .
Gameplay
Sparkster is a possum in knight armor, equipped with a sword and jet pack. With the sword blows are dealt, with the help of the jetpack you can fly short distances or execute a strong sword blow.

Sparkster is the successor to Rocket Knight Adventures and was released for the Sega Mega Drive and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System . Despite the same name, both versions differ considerably from each other.
New edition
On May 12, 2010 a new part for the Xbox 360 was released. This was developed by Climax Studios Ltd and published in Germany by Konami. The gameplay is identical to that of its predecessor, published 17 years earlier. So the main character is still Sparkster the opossum. The game is a classic 2D jump & run . Between the individual levels there are also flight levels that are similar to R-Type .
