A Rocket to the Moon was an American rock band from Massachusetts .

Band history

A Rocket to the Moon started in 2006 as a solo project by rock musician Nick Santino from Braintree , Massachusetts. After a few independent releases, he got a record deal with the Fueled by Ramen label . For his appearances he formed a band with which he also recorded the debut album On Your Side . It was released on October 12, 2009 and immediately made it into the US charts.

A year later, the EP The Rainy Day Sessions was released , which contains five album titles in a new recording with the female country duo Larkin Poe . The band had a hit on the US Hot 100 with the EP song Like We Used To .

On October 2, 2012 the EP That Old Feeling was released , on which four new songs by the band can be heard. Among them is the single Whole Lotta You , released on August 21, 2012 . The second studio album Wild & Free was released in January 2013. After a short tour under the name One Last Night in summer 2013 and a final EP, the band broke up.
