Rock Museum Munich

The Rockmuseum Munich is a privately operated music museum on the visitor platform of the Olympic Tower in Munich .

It describes itself as the "highest rock museum in the world". The exhibits include photos, tickets, musical instruments, posters and stage costumes, etc. a. by Jim Morrison , Freddie Mercury , Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones , as well as a fully functional jukebox from the 1960s with a viewable automatic pick and play mechanism. However, only around two percent of the existing collection can be shown in the small exhibition space.

In addition to the permanent exhibition opened in 2004, events such as concerts, special exhibitions (e.g. in the Olympic ice rink ) or participation in the crime festival are organized. The founders and directors of the museum are Herbert Hauke ​​and Arno Frank Eser.
