Rodensche land recording

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rodensche Landesaufnahme is a map series for West Prussia and the Netzedistrikt after the First Partition of Poland in 1772. Frederick the Great commissioned the Secret Finance Councilor Johann Rembert Rode to record these areas. It should lay the foundations for the introduction of the Prussian tax system. In 1772/73 there were three commissions with about 60 officials and 40 surveyors . A cadastre was created for each location in which the heads of families were recorded.
