Rodney Hunter (* in Wiesbaden ) is an electronic musician and DJ who grew up in the United States and Austria . He was under contract with the label of the Viennese electronic duo Kruder & Dorfmeister , G-Stone , and had his own sub-label with BMG (Uptight) for 10 years . His music combines style elements from hip-hop, R&B , house , funk , dub , soul and electronic dance music .

biography

Hunter had experience with music in his childhood when his father was a DJ in the USA. At the age of 14, Hunter was the electric bass player for the group Mordbuben AG . In 1990 he released the first Austrian hip-hop album with the crossover group The Moreaus, entitled Swound Vibes . After The Moreaus disbanded in 1991, Hunter began his work as a music producer at Uptight Productions , which later led him to a Grammy Award nomination with Mark Murphy . In 2004 Rodney Hunter released his debut album Hunter Files . It was able to stay in the Austrian charts, the Ö3 Austria Top 40 , for 6 weeks , the highest position was 34th place. Another album called Hunterville was released four years later . The third album Hunter Express was released in spring 2013 .
