Rodolfo Ariel Sandoval (born October 4, 1948 ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

The 1.74 meter tall midfielder Rodolfo Sandoval was part of the Peñarols squad in the Primera División from 1970 to 1975 . In 1973, 1974 and 1975 Sandoval won the Uruguayan championship with the Aurinegros coached by Juan Ricardo Faccio , Hugo Bagnulo , José María Rodríguez and Juan Alberto Schiaffino as coach in these seasons . With the Copa Teresa Herrera and the Liguilla Championship, further titles could be won in 1974, both of which were defended in 1975.

National team

Sandoval was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . With this he took part in the 1970 World Cup. In the game for third place against the Federal Republican selection he came on June 20, 1970 to a tournament use when he was substituted in for Ildo Maneiro in the 67th minute .
