Rodrigo Fernández (born April 18, 1968 ) is a former Mexican soccer player who until 1995 mostly played in defense and then mainly in midfield .

career

Fernández began his professional career at Puebla FC and won both the championship and the cup competition with the Camoteros in the 1989/90 season . However, his contribution to these successes was insofar as he came in the league only to a thirty-minute use on October 7, 1989 in the 2-1 away win against the Cobras Ciudad Juarez .

Fernández played most of his 81 first division matches (49) for his next club Deportivo Toluca and he scored his only goal in the top Mexican division on October 18, 1998 for CF Pachuca to lead them 3-2 in a home game with many goals against Club Atlas , which was lost 4-6 in the end.
