Roger Humbert has been working on his abstract photographic works since 1954. His luminograms and photograms consist of form elements such as stencils, punch cards or punching waste, which are combined in a light source in such a way that they are reduced to their geometric structure. His work is heavily influenced by constructivism and existentialism .

His works are represented in numerous international museums, including the Peter C. Ruppert Collection and the Musée d'art et d'histoire in Geneva. Most of his oeuvre is part of the Swiss Photo Foundation .
