Band history
Roger Miret formed the group to balance the hardcore punk of his main band Agnostic Front . Some of the first Disasters songs were originally written for Agnostic Front, but after the project was founded, it turned back to hardcore punk. Originally only planned as a project, after the self-titled debut album in 2002, the group developed into an independent formation that runs parallel to Agnostic Front. All previous albums have been released through Hellcat Records .
Music genre
The group is mainly influenced by British Oi! Bands and punk bands like Sham 69 , The Business and The Clash . Even the early punk of New York City , as of The Dictators and the Ramones played a major role.
