Roger Black

Roger Schwarz is a German former basketball referee .

career

Black played basketball himself until 1987 and from then on concentrated on his referee career. From 1989 to 2005 he was in charge of games in the national basketball league , and between 1995 and 2005 he also directed international games on behalf of the European basketball association. From 2005 he worked as a referee trainer for the German Basketball Federation and FIBA Europe . For a while, Schwarz sat on the board of the Hamburg Basketball Association. In 2012, Schwarz was awarded the Golden Badge of Honor from the Schleswig-Holstein Basketball Association.

Professionally, the computer scientist and graduate of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel worked in leading positions in the IT industry.

His sons Kristof and Malte  became basketball professionals.
