Roger Vitrac
Roger Vitrac (born November 17, 1899 in Pinsac , Département Lot , † January 22, 1952 in Paris ) was a French playwright and surrealist .
Life
He founded the Dadaist newspaper Aventure with René Crevel in the early 1920s and was a member of the surrealist movement, from which he distanced himself together with others such as Antonin Artaud in the course of the crisis before the revolutionary realignment of the 2nd Manifesto . He founded the Alfred Jarry Theater with Robert Aron and Antonin Artaud .
Vitrac, especially with his play Victor , which was premiered by Artaud in 1928, can be seen as a forerunner of the theater of the absurd .
