The Rogožarski R-100 ( Serbian - Cyrillic Рогожарски Р-100 ) was a Yugoslav high- wing aircraft that was used for advanced training in the early 1940s.

development

It was developed at the aircraft manufacturer Rogožarski as a further development of the Rogožarski PWT , but showed some changes compared to it. The metal content of the airframe had been increased significantly and the tail unit had been changed. The Gnome-Rhone - radial engine was to improve the aerodynamics of a Townend ring , and instead of grinding spur the tail wheel was a wheel.
Compared to the PWT R-100 reached a higher speed and had a lower take-off mass . The wingspan had been shortened by a good three feet.

Since the R-100 was to be used to train fighter pilots, it had a machine gun with a coupled camera. The wide track of the main landing gear enabled safe control of the aircraft during takeoff and landing.

27 units of this type of aircraft were built, which were valued by the pilots for their stability and good controllability. When the German Wehrmacht invaded Yugoslavia in 1941 , production of the R-100 was stopped.
