Rohese de Clare (1252-1317)
Rohese de Clare (also Rose or Roese de Clare ; * 1252 , † 1317 ) was an English noblewoman.
She came from the Anglo-Norman family Clare and was the daughter of Richard de Clare, 5th Earl of Hertford and Maud de Lacy . Her father died in 1262. Her mother and brother Bogo married her in 1270 to Roger de Mowbray, 1st Baron Mowbray , a smaller baron from Thirsk in Yorkshire . Her husband died in 1296 or 1297, only the year of her death is known of her subsequent life.
She had at least two children from their marriage:
- John Mowbray, 2nd Baron Mowbray (1286–1322) ∞ Alicia de Braose, daughter of William de Braose, 2nd Baron Braose
- Alexander Mowbray ∞ Elizabeth Muster, daughter of Henry Muster
