Pipeline builder
The pipe fitters is pressure lines for water , gas , oil , district heating and wastewater properly and performs repair work from the supply network. Special attention is paid to the tightness of the installed lines, since an uncontrolled leakage of the line contents can have dire consequences for health and the environment.
The profession is assigned to the main construction trade and is learned with the help of several years of training. Pipeline builders find employment in civil engineering construction companies as well as in companies that repair supply lines.
tasks
One of the main activities of the pipeline builder is the laying of supply lines in trenches. For this purpose, trenches with embankments or shoring are to be dug . In order to ensure functionality and environmental protection, pipeline builders ensure that the pipes are made tight. After completion of the construction work, the trench or the construction pit will be backfilled, taking into account a properly executed soil compaction and the restoration of the road surface or terrain surface.
In addition to the production of the lines, damaged lines must be repaired by the pipeline builder or durability must be ensured, for example by means of corrosion protection measures, and pipe cleaning work carried out.
