Geographical location

The place is in Western Pomerania , east of the center of Koszalin at the foot of the Gollen . Voivodship road 206 runs through the village in a west-east direction .

history

In 1284 the place, then written Rokesouwe , was sold to the Cistercian convent in Köslin by a nobleman named Dietrich von Belgard .

Even before 1945, Rogzow had grown together economically with the city of Köslin. Rogzow was served by the Köslin tram and the Köslin bus. But from a political point of view, Rogzow formed its own rural community in the Köslin district until 1945 . In addition to Rogzow itself, the Obermühle residential area belonged to the community . The municipality had 1262 inhabitants in 1925, 1707 inhabitants in 1933 and 2011 inhabitants in 1939.

After the Second World War , Rogzow, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place name was Polonized as "Rokosowo" and the population was replaced by Poles. The place was incorporated into the city of Koszalin.
