Roland Hertner (athlete)
Roland Hertner (born March 21, 1957 ) is a former Swiss cross-country runner and obstacle runner .
From 1979 to 1988 he was ten times Swiss champion over 3,000m obstacles and Swiss champion in cross-country skiing in 1984. He took part in the cross-country world championships in 1982 , 1983 and 1984 as well as the European athletics championships in 1986 over 3,000m obstacles . In 1988 Hertner received the Baselbieter Sports Prize .
Hertner started for the sports club Liestal (SC Liestal) and reached two Swiss national records on August 23, 1985 and August 6, 1986 over 3,000 m obstacle .
Roland Hertner works as an architect and construction manager and is the managing director of Werkpol AG in Liestal .
