Roland Lindner (politician)

Roland Lindner (born March 31, 1937 ; resident in Basel ) is a Swiss architect and politician ( SVP ). Since 2006 he has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt .

Life

Roland Lindner is a qualified architect SIA . He was a founding member of the International Association of Architecture Experts Switzerland IVAS. In 2010 he founded the Lindner Waldner Architects office in Basel with Paul Waldner .

Lindner is a member of SVP Basel-Stadt . On May 1, 2006, he moved into the Grand Council in the constituency of Grossbasel Ost, where he is an elder. Since February 2009 he has been a member of the BRK Building and Spatial Planning Commission. In 2009, Lindner suggested a voluntary militia group for nightly patrols against graffiti sprayers, which was never used. Roland Lindner will no longer run for the Grand Council in the 2020 elections because he will reach the age guillotine of 16 years in office at the end of the legislature.

Lindner also has a seat on the citizens' council of the city of Basel.
