Roland M. Begert (born May 12, 1937 in Biel / Bienne in the canton of Bern , Switzerland ) was a full-time high school teacher for economics and law. He has been a writer since his retirement .

Life

Roland M. Begert grew up as a Protestant child in a Catholic home. At the age of 12 he came to foster parents as a contract child on a small farm in the Bernese Seeland. After compulsory schooling, he was forced to do a casting apprenticeship. He worked for several years in various companies in German and French-speaking Switzerland before entering an evening grammar school at the age of 28 and enrolling as a working student at the University of Bern for economics and law at the age of 31 . He graduated from university with a doctorate. For almost 30 years he taught economics and law at high school and partly in adult education. Since his retirement, Begert has been active as a writer and journalist as well as in readings and lectures on the specifically Swiss socio-political topic of recruitment . Roland M. Begert lives in Liebefeld in the canton of Bern.
